Kentucky State Sweeps LeMoyne-Owen on Senior Day

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky State women's volleyball cruised to a straight-set victory on Senior Day over LeMoyne-Owen on Saturday, posting scores of 25-19, 25-9, and 25-18 at Bell Gymnasium to improve to 8-11 on the season.
 
In the opening set, Kentucky State set the tone with strong play at the net, highlighted by 14 kills and four aces. Randi Neal and Timaia Sugars led the Thorobreds' attack, building an early lead that held steady despite a late push from LeMoyne-Owen.
 
The second set saw Kentucky State take complete control, allowing only nine points. The Thorobreds capitalized on LeMoyne-Owen's offensive struggles, which included six attack errors. Kentucky State's offensive efficiency soared, finishing with a .393 hitting percentage and three service aces to close out the set decisively.
 
Kentucky State maintained its momentum into the third, where they recorded 19 kills with a .333 hitting percentage. Despite a brief back-and-forth, the Thorobreds pulled away late, sealing the sweep with steady play from Camri Goodwin and Amber Gregory, who kept the offense firing.
