WILMORE, Ky. – Kentucky State women's volleyball falls 1-3 in a midweek road match against the Asbury Eagles on Wednesday.
Asbury took the first set 25-18 and the second set 25-12 to take an early 2-0 match lead.
The Thorobreds continued to fight winning the third set 25-21 to force the match into a fourth set.
In the fourth set the Eagles gained back their advantage to win the set 25-14 and match 3-1.
Tamaia Sugars led Kentucky State with eight kills, while
Audi Hicks contributed two aces and led with 14 assists.
Leah Tubbs stood out with five blocks, and
Justice Mudd led the team with 13 digs.

The Thorobreds will have eight days off before their next matchup at the SIAC East/West Crossover beginning on Friday, Sept. 22 at 8 a.m. to the Benedict Tigers.
