FRANKFORT, Ky. – Baseball defeats SIAC opponent Tuskegee 14-6 that pushes them to a 2-1 series win as 10 seniors played their final games at Alumni Field.
Kentucky State opened the series with a tough 8-11 loss, while taking the final two games 7-3 and 14-6.

Byron Famble,
Tavon Gibbs,
Josh Graves,
Aram Kumar, Dominic Lawson,
Jared Pierce,
Roby Schank, and
Adren Thompson.
Game 1: Kentucky State 8, Tuskegee 11
At the top of the third inning, the Golden Tigers controlled the contest 6-0.
Kentucky State followed with a scoring surge led by a two-run home run by Lawson in the bottom of the third inning. Famble followed with a single to left field, sending
Collier Higgs across home plate to bring the Thorobreds to within three of the 6-3 Tuskegee lead.
Antonio Chamber singled deep into center field, sending both
Daniel Moore and
Kelton Saylor home to close come within one of the 6-5 Golden Tiger lead.
Saylor's game-tying run came on a single into center field, allowing Lawson to score at tie the game at 6-6 in the sixth inning. Kentucky State took the lead as Moore and Saylor scored on an error by the Golden Tigers. The Thorobreds held an 8-6 lead at the end of the sixth inning.
A late rally in the 8th and 9th inning gave Tuskegee an 11-8 victory in game one of the doubleheader.
Game 2: Kentucky State 7, Tuskegee 6
At the bottom of the second inning, the Thorobreds would score on a wild pitch, and a sacrifice fly by Schank sent Thompson home, giving Kentucky State a 2-0 lead.
Lawson singled in the fourth inning, allowing his teammate Schank to score, extending the Thorobreds lead 3-1.
One run was added early in the fifth inning as Chambers crossed home on a wild pitch and
Jared Pierce doubled on a ball hit deep into left field, batting in both Famble and Thompson to give Kentucky State a 6-1 lead.
Tuskegee would attempt to rally in the sixth inning scoring two runs to bring themselves to within three as they trailed 3-6 going into the bottom of the sixth. Moore sent the final batter in the on a double, sending his team to a 7-3 victory that split the doubleheader with Tuskegee.
Game 3: Kentucky State 14, Tuskegee 6
Kentucky State controlled the final game of the series with a 14-6 victory led off by Thompson with a single into left field batting in Higgs. The Golden Tigers walked Famble with the bases loaded, walking Schank past home plate.
The Golden Tigers scored multiple runs taking a 6-2 lead in the top of the fifth. Higgs hit a sacrifice fly to right field, allowing Lawson to score a close on the Golden Tiger 6-3 lead.
A high-scoring sixth inning led to Kentucky State taking a 7-6 lead. The inning began with Pierce and Higgs hitting sacrifice flies into the outfield, scoring a run on each. Saylor reached the plate twice in the inning scoring with the first tying the contest and the second giving Kentucky State a one-run lead.
Lawson hit the center field fence in the seventh inning with the bases loaded, allowing all runners to score and give the Thorobreds a 10-6 lead.
The game's final runs began with a two-run single by Lawson, followed by a one-run single to center field. Thompson was walked, allowing Lawson to score the contest's final run.
