Box Score Wilberforce, Ohio – Central State rallies late in the fourth quarter to defeat the Thorobreds 31-30 at home in Wilberforce, Ohio.
The Marauders scored the contest's first points, a short run by Kaz Dina, to give Central State a 7-0 first-quarter (11:22) lead.
Shaquan Oliver responded with a 37-yard run, and a good kick by Mason Molique tied the game 7-7 at 10:43 in the first quarter.
Kentucky State took a 14-7 first-quarter (5:30) lead on a short run by Oliver. Central State's Brandon Kyles connected to Micah Lowe for a 29-yard touchdown reception to tie the game 14-14 at the end of the first.
Jonathan Jerry scored an eight-yard quarterback keeper, and a good kick by Molique gave Kentucky State an early second quarter (8:54) 21-14 lead.
Central State tied the game on a ten-yard receiving touchdown by Twon Hines to tie the game 21-21 at 8:37 in the second quarter.
A 23-yard field goal by the Marauders secured a narrow 24-21 Central State lead going into the half.
Kentucky State gained back the lead on a four-yard rushing touchdown by Oliver, and a good extra point by Molique gave the Thorobreds a 28-24 lead at 6:33 in the third quarter.
The Marauders gave up a safety to extend the Thorobreds lead 30-24 early in the fourth quarter (14:02).
A Central State fumble recovered by Kentucky State stopped a potential scoring play for the Marauders at 8:55 in the fourth quarter.
At 5:34 in the fourth quarter, Central State scored on a quarterback keeper to take a 31-30 lead.
The Thorobreds were unable to answer and would fall 31-30 to the Marauders.
