Women’s Volleyball Concludes the Lee Invitational

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CLEVELAND, Tenn. – In the final matches of the Lee Invitational the Kentucky State women's volleyball team would fall in their first match 3-1 to King University and drop their final match 3-0 to Lee University.
 
Senior Robin Poole tallied her 1000th career digs after the completion of the Lee Invitational.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Match One vs. King University: The Thorobreds would take advantage with a 25-21 set win in the opening set. In the remaining three sets, the King Tornados would go on to narrowly win them (25-21, 25-20,25-3).
 
Match Two vs. Lee University: The final match of the Lee Invitational would conclude against host Lee University. The first set opened with a Lee 25-20 win, an intense second set would follow, but the Thorobreds would fall short 31-29. Lee would take the third set 25-22 and win the match 3-0.
 
RECORD SETTING WEEKEND
Poole added her name to the Kentucky State women's volleyball record books when you secured 1000 career digs at the Lee Invitational, and she currently has a career total of 1,026 digs (as of 9/18/2021).
 
UP NEXT
Kentucky State women's volleyball will head to Cartersville, Georgia, for a SIAC Crossover beginning Friday, September 24 through Sunday, September 26. The first match of the crossover will be against Fort Valley State University on Friday, September 24 at 5 p.m. CT.
