FRANKFORT, Ky.- Kentucky State women's volleyball travels to Cleveland, Tennessee for the 2021 Lee Invitational hosted by Lee College.
In their last time out the Thorobreds defeated Miles College, Tuskegee, and LeMoyne-Owen at their first SIAC Cluster.
CLUSTER RECAP
KSU opened the cluster against Miles college winning three sets straight.
Keyara Brooks aided the team's success during this match by having four major blocks as well as 25 assists.
In their first meeting with the Spring Hill Badgers this season the Thorobreds would drop all three sets beginning with the first set, 25-20 then 25-18 for the next two matches.
The Thorobreds found their rhythm in the following game against Tuskegee sweeping the series 3-0. Jaylnn Roberts had 13 kills during the match and Brooks would earn 32 assists.
The cluster would conclude against host LeMoyne-Owens with a quick first set loss 22-25. KSU would make a quick adjustment and win the next three sets.
Shaska Davis earned 4 blocks in the match and Roberts would secure 17 digs.
SIAC SETTER OF THE WEEK
Brooks, Freshman setter, leads her team to victory at the SIAC west cluster from the weekend. Brooks earned six digs and 25 assists in the first game, and on Friday against Spring Hill, 18 assists.
On Saturday Brooks continued the momentum with 32 assists while earning six kills and one block in their match against Tuskegee. Brooks finished strong and had 34 assists in their final win of the cluster against LeMoyne-Owen.
This performance secured Brooks Week Two SIAC Setter of the Week, her second consecutive week winning this award.
