FRANKFORT, KY – The Kentucky State University baseball closed out the final game of their weekend series with an 11-4 loss to Spring Hill College at Alumni Field in Frankfort, Kentucky.
The Badgers were up by three when Ethan Johnson responded with a home run at the bottom of the second. The Thorobreds would close on the Badgers 3-1 at the end of two.
At the bottom of the seventh, the Thorobreds saw a surge of runs. Trey Walker, Jared Pierce, and Roby Schank would put three runs on the board. The Thorobreds would trail 4-7 after seven innings.
The Thorobreds scored four runs, earned five hits and one error in their 11-4 loss to the Spring Hill Badgers.
Kentucky State baseball celebrated Senior Jordan Christian, who has been a member of the team since 2018 and will graduate in May with a degree in Mass Communications.
Baseball will return to action Wednesday, April 21st, for a single game against Georgetown. This will be a unique game for
Thorobreds as they pay tribute to the Negro Leagues, with the first pitch being thrown by the Mayor of Frankfort Layne Wilkerson at 3 p.m. at Alumni Field.
