FRANKFORT, KY – The Kentucky State women's basketball closed out their 2021 season with a 50-46 win over Miles College.
The Kentucky State women's basketball team celebrated their seniors Khaliah Herbert, Lyndsey Downing, and Allenia Ponder Friday night.
The Thorobreds dropped their senior night contest 41-50 to Miles College inside the Exum Center Friday, March 5.
Game One
The Thorobreds rallied in the second quarter outscoring the Bears 11-13, taking a
21-17 lead at the half. The Bears took control in the second half outscoring the 33-19 to defeat the Thorobreds 50-41.
Game Two
The Thorobreds rallied in the second half to finish the 2021 season with a 50-46 win over the Bears.
The first half was close, with the Thorobreds trailing 17-18 at the end of the first half.
Senior Lyndsey Downing had a big night leading her team with 18 points.
Junior Andrea Wallace scored 16 points and earned ten rebounds to secure a double-double in the final contest of the 2021 season.
