BLUEFIELD, W.Va.– The Kentucky State women's basketball team drops their road contest 61-41 to Bluefield State in Bluefield, West Virginia.
The Thorobreds first quarter performance put them at a disadvantage early in the first half. With attempts to shave a few points off in the second half unsuccessful.
Going into the third quarter, Junior Deja Antoine led the team with six points along with her teammate Senior Khaliah Herbert, scoring five points in an effort to close on the Big Blue's lead. \
The Thorobreds outscored the Big Blue 15-14 in the fourth quarter of the contest. This wasn't enough to defeat the Big Blue, falling 61-41 at the end of regulation.

The Thorobreds are off to Erie, Pennsylvania to take on Mercyhurst for a two game series. Game one of the series will be Friday, January 22 and game two will be Saturday, January 23. Both tip-offs are set to be announced shortly.
