CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY – The Kentucky State University baseball team played to a 10-10 tie in a non-conference game with the Thomas More Saints Wednesday at Thomas More Field. The game was called after nine innings due to darkness.
Kentucky State is now 11-3-1 on the season, while Thomas More is 3-10-1 on the season.
THE MOMENT THAT MATTERED
A pair of two-out infield hits and a two-out walk put the winning run 90 feet away for Thomas More in the bottom of the ninth inning, however, freshman reliever
Jonathan Morris (Lexington, Ky.) induced a game-ending ground ball.
COACHES COMMENTS
"Today was one of those back and forth games neither team took control of," said Kentucky State head coach
Rob Henry. "Both teams had their share of opportunities they capitalized on, but were never able to put the game away. One of the best takeaways from today's game is that we learned some things about our team that we need to work on the rest of the week in practice to help us continue to develop."
