The Kentucky State University football team lost their home opener, 13-7, Saturday to Tuskegee in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action at Alumni Stadium in front of 8,163 fans.
Tuskegee took the lead with a shade over one minute remaining as the Golden Tigers drove 94 yards in just four plays in 1:44 seconds. It was TU's first lead of the contest.
The Thorobreds took the lead when junior
Jaylen Myers connected with sophomore Isaac Fields on a 22-yard touchdown strike. Kentucky State had a pair of defensive touchdowns erased, one via an inadvertent whistle and the other game when a potential sack fumble was ruled an incomplete pass.

Brett Sylve led the offense with 81 yards on 19 attempts, while Myers added 78 yards on 10 carries.

Kalmorris Robinson and freshman
Jeremiah Owens tallying four stops each.
Kentucky State (1-1 overall, 0-1 SIAC) will have a bye week before traveling to face Jackson State University in the Circle City Classic.
