MOBILE – The Kentucky State University softball team dropped the third and final game of its three-game Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference set with Spring Hill.

Kentucky State scored its lone run on a double by sophomore Moana Pinner (Hilo, HI), scoring senior Jittaun Thompson (Pomona, CA), in fourth inning. It was KSU's lone extra base hit as it managed four hits on the game.

Spring Hill took the early lead with a pair of runs in the first inning, and then added three runs in the third inning. The West Division leading Badgers capped the scoring with three more runs in the sixth inning.

Senior Paola Flores, 11-11, (San Lorenzo, PR) allowed eight runs (five earned) on eight hits over six innings. She recorded four strikeouts with five walks.

Kentucky State (18-21 overall, 8-8 SIAC) will honor the contributions of its senior class Tuesday as the Thorobreds host Salem University in a non-conference doubleheader.
