Volleyball falls to Lewis University 3-1 to begin Tri-Match

Rensselaer, Ind.—Kentucky State University volleyball fell to Lewis University 3-0 (8-25, 14-25,18-25) in the first match of a tri-match at Saint Joseph's College on Friday.

The Thorobrettes (12-8) had their seven-match win streak snapped but will look to start a new one with matches against SJC and University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday. The Flyers (11-3) added to their win streak, pushing it six straight, their longest of the season.

KSU struggled to find offense throughout the evening as senior outside hitter Sherry'ce Butler led with six kills. As a team, the Thorobrettes were held to a .021 hit efficiency throughout the evening.

Back-to-back SIAC defensive player of the week senior libero Micah Rogers recorded double-digit digs with 11. Senior setter Anjelique Kyle contributed with a team-high 13 assists.

The quick turnaround for the Thorobrettes will start early Saturday with an 11 a.m. match against SJC, followed by a 5 p.m. ET affair with Wisconsin-Parkside.
