Frankfort, Ky.—Kentucky State University volleyball will compete in the program's third NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Championship in four years with a 7:30 p.m. ET match time against Palm Beach Atlantic University on Thursday.
 
The Thorobrettes (22-17) will take on PBA in the NCAA Volleyball Championship for the second consecutive season. KSU enters the tournament as the No. 8 seed in the South Region after claiming the SIAC Tournament Championship on Nov. 18. The Sailfish (28-3) ended their season on a 28-match win streak and ranked as the No. 10 team in the nation. The 'Fish are the No. 1 seed in the South Region and will host the region at the Rubin Arena.
 
Through the duration of the 2016 season, the Thorobrettes were led by a core of seniors to earn a third conference tournament title and a spot in the NCAA Volleyball Championship.
 
Setter Anjelique Kyle finished the regular season as the team leader in assists and ranked No. 5 in the conference with 8.34 per set. Along with Kyle's ability to set up her teammates, she led the conference in service aces with 0.63 per set, giving her 41 on the year.
 
Libero Micah Rogers was a key factor defensively, accounting for 331 digs and 4.04 per set. Rogers' ability to find the ball ranked her No. 2 in the SIAC for digs.
 
Outside hitter Tahje Ochs proved to be the top offensive threat for KSU; notching 195 kills over 80 sets and better than two kills per set. Ochs finished her senior campaign No. 10 in the SIAC in kills.
 
For those who can't make it to Palm Beach, Florida for the tournament, all games will be streamed live by PBA. KSU will be hosting a watch party to root on the Thorobrettes from the game room of the Student Center on Thursday night. Doors will open at 7 p.m. ET.
