Birmingham, Ala.- Kentucky State University volleyball continued to be a force against SIAC opponents as they swept both Albany State University and Clark Atlanta University 3-0 in the opening two rounds of the SIAC Championship Tournament at the Birmingham Crossplex.

The Thorobrettes (21-17, 13-4) notched their fourth straight 20 win season with the two victories. As a result, KSU will take on Claflin University the No. 1 seed in the East Division on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. ET. On Sept. 24 KSU defeated CAU in the Albany Crossover, 3-2.

Anjelique Kyle swayed momentum in favor the top-seeded Thorobrettes with a team-high 28 assists and six aces. As a team, KSU notched 11 aces and kept the Lady Rams zero.

The Panthers contested the defending champs in the first and third sets but the Thorobrettes were too much in the night cap. KSU only committed 11 errors, while the Panthers faltered 19 times.
