ATLANTA - The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has released its brackets and pairings for the 2015 SIAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament.
 
The tournament is set to take place from March 2-7 inside Bill Harris Arena at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala.
 
The Kentucky State women's basketball team, riding a 13-game winning streak, earns the top-seed out of the West Division and receives a first round bye. East Division winner Benedict College enters as the other number one seed with number two seeded LeMoyne-Owen College and Albany State University also collecting a first round byes.
 
East Division champion Paine College, and West Division winner, Stillman College, both receive opening round byes while #2E Morehouse College also earns a first round bye. The number two seed with the best record from either the West or East Division earns the first round bye in the men's bracket.
 
The Thorobrettes will begin their quest for an SIAC Championship on Wednesday, Mar. 4, at 5:30 p.m. (CT) when they face the winner of the #4E Fort Valley State/#5W Miles College game being played on Monday, Mar. 2.
 
The men's portion of the bracket follows the women's games respectively.
 
Kentucky State, the five-seed out of the West Division, will take on the four-seed out of the East, Benedict College, on Monday, Mar. 2, at 3:15 p.m. (CT).
 
Tuesday's schedule consist of five games and is set to begin at 12 p.m. (CT). Wednesday and Thursday quarterfinal rounds, and Friday's semifinals, will begin at 1 p.m. (CT). Both championship games will be held on Saturday, March 7, with the women's final at 4 p.m. (CT) followed by the men's championship slated for 7 p.m. (CT).
