FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State University football team picked up a convincing, 47-14, victory against the Lane College Dragons on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium. 
The contest marked the final home game for 18 KSU football senior student-athletes. 
Senior running backs 
Jacquise Lockett and 
Justin Williams once again led the Thorobreds ground attack, combining for 243 yards and five touchdowns. Lockett led the tandem with 159 rushing yards and three touchdowns while Williams finished with 84 yards on the ground, a pair of touchdowns and 49 receiving yards.
 
KSU used both senior 
Adam Robinson and freshman quarterback 
Ora Johnson under center. Robinson, who started the game, finished with 165 passing yards and a touchdown on 7-for-10 passing. Johnson went 6-for-9 through the air for 83 yards and a touchdown toss to fellow freshman and former Bryan Station (Lexington, KY) teammate 
Lavelle Cloyd.
 
Senior 
Clayton Patton caught a team-high three passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.
 
Defensively the Thorobreds were very strong throughout the contest, allowing Lane just 269 total offensive yards. 
Lydell Simon led the team with 10 tackles. Senior 
Terry Horton and junior 
Joshua Williams both finished with 5 tackles and a sack on Saturday.
 
The SIAC victory lifts the Thorobreds to 3-6 overall and 2-4 in the conference. Lane falls to 1-7 overall and 1-5 in SIAC action.
 
Kentucky State will wrap up their season with a road trip to Morehouse on Saturday, Nov. 8 for a 2 p.m. kickoff against the Maroon Tigers.
