Box Score FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State University women's volleyball team hosted the University of the Cumberland's for their annual Dig Pink match on Thursday evening at the Bell Gymnasium. The Patriots outlasted the Thorobrettes in four sets, 3-1 (25-14, 30-28, 22-25, 25-23).
The Patriots (16-9) built a large lead to run away with the first set, 25-14, but the Thorobrettes (19-12) fought back in an extended second set. The two teams went back-and-forth in the second set, trading the lead eight times, before UC pulled away at the end to earn a 30-28 set win.
Despite dropping the second set, Kentucky State used the momentum of their solid play to win the third set 25-22 but in the fourth set, the Patriots squeaked out a 25-22 victory to take the set and the match.
Emily Grieshaber led KSU with 20 kills earning a .280 attack percentage against UC. Angelique Kyle tallied a team-high 42 assists.

Markeisha Williams (10) all picked up double-digit digs for Kentucky State.
Next up for KSU is a road trip to Romeoville, Ill. for a tri-match against Lewis University and St. Joseph College on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
