FRANKFORT, Ky. – As the calendar turns to October the Kentucky State University women's volleyball team is in the middle of its fall schedule. The Thorobrettes have several exciting events happening this week both on campus and on the road.
 
The team enters this week with an 11-7 overall record and a 10-1 record in SIAC action. The Thorobrettes sit securely at the top of the SIAC West Division standings. Tuskegee is second in the standings with a 5-5 SIAC record.
 
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the women's volleyball team will be hosting non-conference opponent Midway College. The "Dig Pink" match is the volleyball team's annual effort to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Come out to the Exum Center on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. to support the Thorobrettes.
 
The KSU women's volleyball team will also be participating in the SIAC West Division Cluster later this week on Oct. 4 and 5. The cluster will be held in Jackson, TN on the Lane College campus.
