Box Score FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Bellarmine University Knights coasted to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-11) victory over the Kentucky State University Thorobrettes in a non-conference volleyball match on Wednesday evening at the Exum Center.
The Knights overwhelmed the Thorobrettes with 13 service aces compared to just one for KSU over the course of the match. Bellarmine was also effective offensively collecting a .354 attack percentage behind 38 kills. Sara Bean led the way for the Knights with 11 kills. Baile BredenbeckCorp had a match high 26 assists.
Emily Grieshaber had just six kills, two per set, which is well under her average of 3.36 kills per set over the course of this season. Grieshaber also had a team high six reception errors.
Latosha Scott had a team high seven kills and also added three blocks assists.
Anjelique Kyle had a team high 15 assists but was held without a kill for the entire match.
The Thorobrettes will look to get back on track this Friday, Sept. 27, in a match against Kentucky Wesleyan in Owensboro, Ky.
