FRANKFORT, Ky. (September 29, 2011) – Benedict outside hitter Latayvia Mack and Stillman outside hitter/setter Jamila McKinnis have been named SIAC Volleyball Co-Players of the Week after their impressive performances this past week. Kentucky State University setter Jordan Foyer has been named SIAC Setter of the Week while Stillman libero Christine Mallory has been named SIAC Defensive Specialist of the Week.
 
Foyer, a Carmel, IN native, is named the league's top setter for the second time in three weeks after recording an impressive 259 assists in 12 matches last week, averaging 5.51 assists per set. The 5-7 freshman had a match-high 30 assists against Fort Valley State followed by match-highs of 26 against Lane, Benedict and Claflin while also contributing 25 assists against Clark Atlanta. She also contributed 28 kills with a .324 hitting percentage along with 31 service aces, 21 digs and 3 blocks. Foyer helped lead the Thorobrettes to a 10-1 record during the SIAC Crossover and West Division Cluster this past week, clinching the SIAC West Division title for Kentucky State with a 15-1 conference record, 10-0 in the west division.

The Thorobrettes are back in action on Tuesday, October 4 in Harrotage, Tenn. to take on Lincoln Memorial. First serve is set for 7 p.m. Eastern.
